voltage scores

Voltage Scores is a mode of composition I’ve been developing since early 2020 and is one of my primary ways of working. It is also the title of my 2021 album, which is the first document of this approach. The method explores the intersection of free improvisation and generative process through modular music systems. I build up a synthesizer patch that consists of various generative processes and multiple sections. I then navigate and improvise within the patch, recording numerous live takes. Take numbers are included in the titles. The first document of this approach is my album "Voltage Scores", although the opening track was not recorded live, and "memory clearance" is a fully generative composition.
